Paitent Information

  • Monday-Friday 0830-1730hrs

    To book an urgent, on-day appointment, phone the clinic between 0830-0900hrs.

  • As a mixed billing practice, we offer bulk billing to all Pension Card Holders, Healthcare Card Holders, and children under the age of 16. Otherwise, gaps range between $15.00-$100.00 depending on the type, location, and time of service. 

    An up-to-date fee brochure is available for our patients in the waiting room. 

    Dr Nichol and Dr Strojek are independent contractors and set their own fee schedules. 

  • Our practice provides a general practice after-hours service. When you call the practice during the after-hours period, you will be directed to this service through our after-hours phone message. 

    Our practice also has a cooperative after-hours arrangement with Clare Medical Centre and Clare Hospital to provide an emergency after-hours service at the hospital. This is a private service, and a fee will apply for any GP consult or advice. After-hours emergency call -out fees start at $180.00. Medicare eligible patients will receive a rebate from Medicare. 

    Telephone advice is available and may attract a fee

  • Our practice uses the HotDoc program to notify patient’s that a test result requires a follow up appointment with the Doctor or that a reminder for blood test, health check, immunisation etc. is due.

     

    This notification is sent via text message to those patients with a mobile phone. Patient’s may also be contacted via phone call or letter. 

  • Our GPs utilise My Health Record with patient consent and when appropriate. More information on My Health Record can be found here.

  • A fee may be charged for unattended appointments without reasonable notice. 

  • We are a fully accredited general practice and participate in a three-year accreditation cycle to maintain the highest possible standard of quality practice and patient care.

     

    Our practice routinely monitors areas for improvement and participates in quality improvement activities. We invite our patients to provide feedback on our practice to assist us in identifying areas for improvement.

     

    For more information about our quality improvement activities, please speak to our reception staff. 

  • If you wish to discuss any aspect of care, please feel free to talk to your GP or administration staff. You may also wish to provide feedback anonymously. We have a suggestion box available in the waiting room. 

    Your feedback is valued. We make improvements based on the feedback we receive. 

    We make every attempt to resolve issues within the practice; however, if you are unsatisfied with the outcome, you may choose to contact the Health and Community Services Complaints Commissioner.
